Very few vending machines to be found in France, but open-air vegetable and fruit stands are everywhere.

526 Palos Verdes single family homes have sold in 2012 as of Oct. 30, 2012.  There are currently 108 single family homes in escrow.  No doubt about it, the Palos Verdes housing market is on the move.  Homes priced under $2,000,000 are in high demand. The luxury home market is moving at a much slower pace.  70 of the 526  2012 sales were luxury homes priced over $2,000,000.  There are currently 14 luxury homes in escrow and 55 homes priced over $2,000,000 are listed for sale. The market is always speaking to us.  These statistics suggest now is a [...]

Pumpkins, Traditions and Holiday Fun

By | October 27th, 2012|An Agent's Life, Front Page, Inspiration|

I'll be out trick or treating with my grandchildren Halloween night.  The weather promises to be balmy unlike the perfect storm brewing on the east coast. Last year's lovely little pumpkin faces carved by my grandchildren.   My daughter's neighborhood attracts kids from all over the South Bay--the streets are flat and the homes fairly close together so little children can collect quite a stash without too much effort.  It's a family affair as there are as many adults on the streets as children.  One might refer to it as a neighborhood meet and greet affair.   Whether or [...]

Palos Verdes Sellers–There are Buyers Waiting to Purchase Your Home

Palos Verdes homeowners, if you are wondering how the local real estate market is doing let me give you an example of what Norma Toering & Team did this week. We submitted a backup offer on a Manhattan Beach property priced over $2,000,000 and submitted an offer on a Palos Verdes property in the $800,000 range (our buyer's offer was one of 14 offers).  The backup offer was accepted and we expect to receive the decision on the PV property today.  Given the current lack of inventory and buyer demand this scenario is not unusual--I could give example after example.  Multiple [...]

Not Your Typical Real Estate Post

Delicious Duck Confit enjoyed in a little bistro near the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.   When I travel I do my best to be less of a tourist and more of an observer of local culture and trends.  It is my goal to observe everything and absorb and incorporate the best into my life. I recently returned from a trip to France (Paris and Nice) with a side trip to Switzerland (Geneva, Bern and Lucerne).  I must admit I did the touristy things too.  Yes, I bought perfume in France and a watch in Switzerland, but [...]

Eiffel Tower at Night

By | October 21st, 2012|An Agent's Life, Front Page, Inspiration, Uncategorized|

The Eiffel Tower is amazing during the day, but absolutely stunning at night. Yes, I returned last night from a week in Paris. Although it rained most days (and nights) it did not hinder my enjoyment of the sights and the food.  I walked to the Louvre (my iPad was my guide) and enjoyed becoming a part of the cafe society-- if only for a week. I'm back  refreshed, if not rested, and ready to finish the year strong.
