It’s Whale Watching Season in Palos Verdes

By | November 30th, 2012|Favorite Photos - Palos Verdes, Front Page|

The cliffs of Palos Verdes are great for whale watching. The whales are heading south to Mexico, and their internal GPS guides them past the Palos Verdes Peninsula as they cruise along the California coastline. "The gray whale migration is one of the longest known to man, averaging 10,000-14,000 miles round-trip between the Bering and Chukchi seas to the Baja California lagoons. The 30- to 40-ton baleen whales can grow up to 50 feet in length. Whales migrating south to Baja California typically start passing the Palos Verdes Peninsula near the end of November..." per an article [...]

3130 Hermosa Avenue Featured in Coastal Living Magazine

By | November 17th, 2012|An Agent's Life, Front Page, Hermosa Beach, Hermosa Beach Luxury Homes, Palos Verdes, Sand Section|

The December issue of Coastal Living Magazine has an article about life in Hermosa Beach. I was fortunate to have my luxury listing at 3130 Hermosa Avenue featured in the article. However, it's not too surprising it was selected as a wonderful example of coastal living as it is across the street from the surf and sand in Hermosa Beach. The home offers luxury living with four bedrooms, four floors of living space plus a large rooftop deck (yes, there is an elevator), and spectacular ocean views. The exquisite home was built in 2005, tastefully updated and is being sold [...]

What If You Can’t Find Your Dream House?

By | November 14th, 2012|Buyer Tip, Front Page, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, Palos Verdes Estates, Palos Verdes Luxury Homes, Rancho Palos Verdes, Redondo Beach, Rolling Hills, Rolling Hills Estates|

Most prospective buyers have preconceived ideas about what features they want in their next home.  Maybe it's a gorgeous pool in the backyard or a gated entrance to their little piece of paradise.  A new home is often the fulfillment of a dream held close to the heart.  It may be a reward for hard-earned success and it is definitely a place to nest and retreat from the demands of daily life.  No wonder so many buyers want all their dream feathers ( or features) in place before they purchase their move-up residence. Sometimes reality and dreams collide.  The home being [...]

It’s Not Too Late to List or Buy

By | November 5th, 2012|An Agent's Life, Buyer Tip, Front Page, Hermosa Beach, Los Angeles Luxury Homes, Manhattan Beach, Palos Verdes, Palos Verdes Estates, Palos Verdes Luxury Homes, Palos Verdes Peninsula, Rancho Palos Verdes, Redondo Beach, Seller Tip|

Holidays and the Housing Market are Compatible "Is it too late to list my house?" My client's question came the day after we turned our calendars to November.  Yes, it's the official beginning of the holiday season, but no, it is not too late to sell or buy property.  The housing market may slow down during November and December but it does not shut down. The right time to sell has little to do with the month on the calendar and the temperature outside and everything to do with the client's timing.  Whether you're selling or seeking a [...]

Palos Verdes or Paris?

By | November 1st, 2012|An Agent's Life, Inspiration, Palos Verdes|

Paris is lovely, but I miss the California sunshine! My body clock did not want to leave Paris.  After ten days back in the USA, I still wake up at odd hours with thoughts of Paris.  Oh, how I do enjoy the lingering after effects of a fabulous vacation. I observed Parisians walk faster and more frequently than Palos Verdesians (yes, I coined a new word).  They linger longer over meals, and American fast food is, thankfully, hard to find.  Their public transportation is fabulous; Los Angeles is in the dark ages by comparison.  Their cars and bodies are [...]
