What I’ve Learned and What I’ve Tried to Forget About Real Estate

By | September 30th, 2013|An Agent's Life, Beach Cities, Buyer Tip, Front Page, Income Property, Los Angeles, Palos Verdes, Seller Tip|

Let's begin with some cliches and how they apply to life as related to real estate. Nothing lasts forever.  The marketing that worked last year may not work this year.  The marketing that worked 20 years ago may still work this year.  It's up to the agent to discard the old and add new based on market conditions and trends. What goes up must come down.  The market has been high, low, high, low and heading back to high in the two plus decades I've been in the real estate business.  Historically speaking, real estate, like most markets, is fluid [...]

I'm a sensitive soul. I note the subtle changes in the weather signaling the arrival of fall, and in Southern California, the land of eternal sunshine, those understated changes can be missed by many. I notice daylight is shrinking and the night hours are stretching. I've also picked up some changes in the roaring bull housing market we've experienced during the past 12 months or so. The frenetic housing market seems to be entering a quieter phase. The number of offers received on a hot property is falling. The phone is a bit quieter. Gosh, I've even checked it once [...]

By | September 15th, 2013|An Agent's Life, Front Page, Inspiration|

Children's Miracle Network - Award I recently received a big thank you from Children's Hospital Los Angeles for my continued contribution to the Children's Miacle Newwork Hospitals Campaign.  I donate a portion of each sale and it's an easy way to make a big difference in the lives of children and their families. Giving back on a regular basis is good for the community, the children in need of help and hope, plus it's a little something I can do to make the world a better place. - Norma (310) 493-8333
