I read a great post this morning about repurposing past blog articles. I’ve been doing this for some time and the record holder for “Most Recycled Post” goes to “100 Reasons to Call Palos Verdes Home” an article I first published several years ago.
More than one prospective buyer called after reading the post. Naturally, it’s very hyper-local and gives an insider’s real life experiences of the Palos Verdes lifestyle. Yes, the Palos Verdes Peninsula is located in Los Angeles County, but life here is nothing like the L.A. lifestyle the media covers. It’s not Hollywood or Malibu.
More importantly, it is information you can’t find on Zillow, Redfin or Trulia. Consumers are hungry for the inside scoop on schools, climate, arts and fine dining. Of course they want information on homes, but that information is available from the Big Boys. If you wish to woe them away from the generic sites you must lure them with a delicious local sauce peppered with facts about life in your community, not just a list of homes for sale.
