Since I make it a habit of following real estate trends, I've been wondering who will buy the baby boomers' big houses when it's time for them to downsize.  I'm sure you've seen trending articles stating Millennials do not want the family china, antiques, and other stuff filling their parents' home. The big question is, will they want to move into the family home, or purchase one of their choosing? Perhaps smaller and closer to the urban center--time will tell. Rolling Hills Estates and PVP Single Family Homes Snapshot July 2018

There are over 200 homes for sale on the Palos Verdes Peninsula, but only 22 single-family homes are listed for sale in Rolling Hills Estates and the unincorporated neighborhoods on the Palos Verdes Peninsula (Westfield, Academy Hills, etc.) along Palos Verdes Drive North. Nine RHE and PVP residences are in escrow with accepted offers, and 42 single family houses have sold in Rolling Hills Estates and PVP unincorporated areas year-to-date. I showed four Rolling Hills homes last weekend. Yes, it was hot, but my out of the area buyer was in town, and we had to seize the opportunity to view a few homes in the buyer's location of choice. I spent a chilly March morning reviewing listings and sales in Rolling Hills Estates, and RHE has the dubious honor of having the lowest single-family residence inventory of homes for sale of the four cities located on the Palos Verdes  Peninsula.
